About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Platform Manager to join our Retail Technology Operations team at Virgin Media O2. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational management and end-to-end service delivery of all applications delivered by our internal teams and third-party suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and support of IT services using multiple methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile.
  • Oversee the delivery of IT services in a dynamic and fast-paced, global environment.
  • Make strategic and objective decisions, balancing technical and business issues, and individual and team goals.
  • Work closely with Finance and other Senior leaders to develop organizational planning and strategy for a 3-5 year outlook.
  • Continuously monitor and improve applications and platforms, developing a fully lifecycle ethos.
Requirements
  • Extensive background in Operational and Service Management.
  • Experience in delivering IT services in a service delivery environment where the product and service are heavily dependent on IT platforms and rapidly evolving technology.
  • Significant experience in leading development and support teams in a dynamic and fast-paced, global environment.
  • Exceptional understanding of the budgeting cycle and ability to work with Finance and other Senior leaders on organizational planning and strategy.
