About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speechwriter and External Affairs Manager to join our team at the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). The successful candidate will support the Head of External Affairs in delivering the NCSC's External Affairs strategy, aligned to the overarching communications and organisational strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the Head of External Affairs in delivering the NCSC's External Affairs strategy.
  2. Write agenda-setting speeches for the CEO and senior NCSC representatives.
  3. Build and maintain effective relationships with key organisations and teams.
  4. Contribute to the development of stakeholder mapping and engagement plans.
  5. Research and report on opportunities and risks for our relationships with key external stakeholders.
Requirements
  1. Experience working in a fast-moving communications environment.
  2. Experience of speech-writing or other written communications for public audiences.
  3. Experience working with a broad set of stakeholders in the public and private sectors.
