Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our digital team at Willmott Dixon as a Digital Engineer. This is a hybrid role that requires a strong understanding of digital construction techniques and the ability to support our digital management team in implementing and reviewing relevant BIM documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Digital Management Team: Collaborate with the digital management team to review and implement relevant BIM documentation aligned with industry standards.
  • Coordinate Project Information: Ensure the delivery and assurance of project information, including geometry, data, scanning, visuals, and logistics.
  • Promote Digital Processes: Promote digital processes and procedures within the organization, ensuring seamless coordination and successful project completion.
  • Ensure Model Compliance: Ensure model compliance with customer, framework, and relevant standards.
  • Provide Training and Support: Provide training and support to teams and stakeholders on digital construction techniques and BIM software.
  • Manage Interfaces: Manage interfaces between different BIM software and solutions.
  • Collaborate with Design Disciplines: Collaborate with other design disciplines for design integrity and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Strong Communication Skills: Be able to successfully collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams.
  • BIM Software Proficiency: Proficiency in BIM software, including Revit, AutoCad, Solibri, Navisworks, Revizto, and Viewpoint for Projects.
  • Clash Detection Knowledge: Knowledge of clash detection methodologies and procedures.
  • COBie Information Generation: Ability to generate and review COBie information.
  • Laser Scanning Familiarity: Familiarity with laser scanning processes.
  • BIM Degree: Hold a BIM or related degree.
  • Organizational Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational skills by effectively planning and prioritizing own workload.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively handle changing priorities.
  • Problem Solving: Proactive problem-solving skills.
