Sodexo is excited to present an opportunity for a skilled Assistant Culinary Manager to join our dynamic team serving our esteemed clients in Cambridge.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality meals that meet our standards, ensuring timely service while upholding the Company's esteemed reputation. You will be tasked with preparing menu items daily to the specified standards and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and surrounding areas, completing all necessary documentation as required.

The Assistant Culinary Manager will ensure that all food preparation adheres to HACCP and Sodexo guidelines, accurately documenting processes to guarantee that customers receive prompt and efficient service. You will also support the Head Chef with inventory management and assist with any special events or functions, which may require flexibility in working hours. Additional responsibilities include administrative tasks and participating in training sessions to mentor junior kitchen staff.

Candidate Profile

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years' relevant culinary experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Competency in basic mathematics
  • Demonstrates Service Spirit, Team Spirit, and Spirit of Progress
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with customers, clients, and colleagues
  • Open to receiving and implementing training from Sodexo and clients
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Proactively identifies and communicates issues to the Head Chef or Sous Chef
  • Maintains a professional appearance with a focus on personal hygiene
  • Passionate about culinary arts and customer service
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Thrives under pressure

Required Qualifications:

  • 706/1 & 706/2 or equivalent (Essential)
  • Food Safety Certification
  • Health & Safety Certification
  • Food Allergen Training
