Our products are relied upon in the most challenging underwater environments, from the splash zone to the depths of the ocean.
Position Summary
The role of Expeditor, reporting directly to the Operations Manager, encompasses the following responsibilities:
External Order Management
- Oversee and monitor the progress of purchase orders, collaborating with suppliers to guarantee timely delivery of materials, components, or services.
- Act as the main liaison between the organization and suppliers post-purchase order issuance.
- Track external order delays and coordinate with the planning assistant to provide customers with current delivery timelines.
- Prioritize active orders with suppliers as necessary.
- Maintain comprehensive records of order statuses, delivery schedules, and supplier delays to generate performance reports.
- Utilize the SAGE 200 system to update purchase order delivery timelines.
Internal Workflow Coordination
- Collaborate with the Sales-Admin team to ensure timely workflow provision to production.
- Assess internal workflows to identify procurement gaps, coordinating with the purchasing team to address these issues.
- Review internal workflows with the planning assistant to identify delays in customer orders, working with the operations team to find resolutions where feasible.
- Perform filing, data entry, and general administrative tasks.
- Generate purchase orders in alignment with production consumable needs.
- Work closely with production and quality teams to meet weekly output targets and customer expectations.
Additional Responsibilities
Carry out any other tasks assigned by management as required.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Proficient computer skills, including Sage and Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines.
- Negotiation skills with suppliers to resolve conflicts and ensure timely deliveries.
