Position Overview
The successful candidate will be engaged in the musculoskeletal outpatient department, which receives referrals from both primary and secondary healthcare providers, including specialties such as orthopaedics and rheumatology. The role includes participation in the orthopaedic weekend schedule.
The individual will manage an independent caseload of patients experiencing musculoskeletal issues, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-informed physiotherapy. Opportunities are available to lead rehabilitation groups and hydrotherapy sessions, as well as to provide care in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based physiotherapy interventions for patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
- Oversee and mentor junior staff, including rehabilitation assistants and band 5 physiotherapists.
- Offer clinical guidance to student physiotherapists.
- Engage in service enhancement initiatives, including audits and quality improvement projects.
- Participate in the orthopaedic weekend schedule.
