Job Role
  • Supporting teaching and learning in a secondary school setting

Working Pattern
Part-time, 32.5 hours per week.

Contract Type
Permanent position.

Pay Scale
Grade 3.

Requirements
  • NVQ 2 in Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification/experience;
  • A*-C or 9-4 grade in G.C.S.E. English and Maths;
  • Willingness to undertake training in relevant learning strategies;
  • Experience working with children of secondary school age;
  • Awareness of children's development and learning;
  • Awareness of S.E.N.D. in a school setting;
  • Experience in resources preparation;
  • Familiarity with technological equipment;
  • Understanding of inclusion in a school setting;
  • Ability to build effective relationships with students and colleagues;
  • Use of ICT to support learning;
  • Adaptability in working with children at all levels;
  • Liaising with parents and carers;
  • Promoting a positive ethos and being a good role model;
  • Working constructively as part of a team;
  • Continual improvement of practice/knowledge;
  • Flexibility in workload demands;
  • Occasional out-of-hours working;
  • Excellent attendance record.
