Role Summary:

We are pleased to announce a new opening for a Cost Estimator. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring precise and prompt payment requests, managing our supply chain effectively, and collaborating closely with our Operations team and clients to uphold sustainable contracts throughout the Eastern region.

Primary Duties:

  • Collaborate with the Operations team and clients to generate accurate and timely payment requests.
  • Establish and nurture cooperative relationships with the supply chain to guarantee contract viability.
  • Ensure prompt payment applications and provide necessary documentation for client evaluations.
  • Oversee the performance and workload of commercial support personnel.
  • Work alongside the Operations team to enhance profit margins and maintain precise record-keeping.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Completion of an accredited Quantity Surveying program recognized by RICS, CIOB, CICES, or an equivalent body.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong familiarity with the NEC Suite of Contract Documents.
  • Experience with NEC Term Service Contracts and Maintenance and Response contracts is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Confirm Asset Management systems, CEMAR contract management software, Papyrus, and SAP cost management systems is a plus.
  • Understanding of the Highways maintenance industry, NEC contract forms, and The Method of Measurement for Highway works is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills across all levels.
  • A collaborative team player with a track record of achieving collective goals.
  • A methodical, logical, and detail-oriented approach to tasks.
  • Computer literate with a quick adaptability to new systems.
