Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Class 2 Steel Driver to join our team at People Solutions. As a Class 2 Steel Driver, you will be responsible for delivering steel products to various locations, ensuring timely and safe transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness
  • Deliver steel products to customers, both locally and over long distances
  • Operate Class 2 flatbed and curtain-side vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Secure loads to prevent damage or loss during transit
  • Complete relevant paperwork and documentation
  • Communicate effectively with depot staff and customers

Requirements:

  • At least six months of Class 2 driving experience
  • Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
  • Valid CPC and Tacho card
  • No more than six points on Driving Licence for minor endorsements

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Over six months of Class 2 driving experience
  • Over 12 months of experience delivering steel
  • Clean UK Category C Driving Licence
