About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • As a Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the plant in Southampton, ensuring the accurate production of Ready-mix products and the timely delivery of raw materials.
  • You will be responsible for the health and safety of your team, as well as any visitors or contractors to the site, and will promote and comply with the Company's health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • You will work closely with the production team to ensure that products are manufactured to the highest standards, and that any issues or concerns are addressed promptly.
  • You will also be responsible for managing the plant's resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure that the plant operates efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

  • You will have experience working in the construction sector in a hands-on role, such as a site worker, yardman, or labourer.
  • You will be self-motivated, responsible, and have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and suppliers.
  • You will have a good level of physical fitness and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A basic understanding of batching systems would be desirable, as would previous experience in concrete/mortar production.
  • You will be committed to health, safety, and environmental standards, and will have a strong understanding of the importance of these in a manufacturing environment.
