Job Title: External Affairs Manager

McDonald's Corporation is seeking a highly skilled External Affairs Manager to join our Global Impact Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving our proactive reputation strategy for international business, protecting and promoting our reputation, and developing and executing proactive and responsive approaches to core issues and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Proactive Reputation for International Business: Develop and execute a compelling, trust-driving strategy for the European business, grounded in persuasive and credible earned and paid media and stakeholder engagement.
  • Partner with International Markets: Establish rapport as a strategic business partner with International Global Impact market teams for external affairs and crisis management support.
  • Develop and Execute Proactive and Responsive Approaches: Work closely with our Government Relations and Sustainability teams to drive our people, planet, and business strategy through proactive and responsive external campaigns and storytelling.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience leading external affairs strategies at a large consumer brand.
  • Proven experience working globally and cross-functionally, with a strong business knowledge and ability to understand business strategy.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, while being flexible, collaborative, and deadline-driven.
  • Critical thinking skills with a bias for action and an understanding of how to drive to clarity amidst ambiguity.
