The Role

This Regulatory & Public Law Solicitor will join a high-performing team in Bristol, advising regulatory bodies, public service providers, and corporates on regulatory matters. Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on the use of powers, appeals, and public law challenges.
  • Assisting ombuds schemes with decision-making and complaint handling.
  • Guiding clients on decision-making and judicial review risks.
  • Managing judicial review claims in the High Court and appellate courts.
  • Supporting clients in regulatory interventions and public inquiries.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Skills and experience in advisory, regulatory, and litigious areas of law.
  • Experience of acting for or an interest in public bodies.
  • An eye for detail and the ability to process and understand complex legal concepts.
