Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly financial statements including Profit & Loss accounts, variance analysis, and detailed commentaries.
  • Execution and delivery of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Oversee the weekly Profit & Loss flash forecast reporting and support the organization with periodic analytical insights.
  • Preparation and presentation of weekly key objectives to ensure that operational goals are achieved.
  • Accountable for the month-end closing procedures, ensuring all relevant month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments, are recorded accurately.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Assist in maintaining the cash flow model and forecasting cash flow.
  • Provide mentorship and assistance to two accounts assistants, ensuring the effective operation of Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger functions.
  • Foster and maintain strong commercial relationships with all key stakeholders.
  • Ensure that adequate financial controls, processes, and procedures are in place for daily financial operations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the UK (Hospitality, Leisure, Retail sectors).
  • Demonstrated discipline and a high level of integrity.
  • AAT qualified or Part Qualified Accountant or equivalent (e.g., CIMA, ACA, ACCA).
  • Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Experience in generating monthly financial reports.
  • Able to perform well under pressure and utilize initiative to resolve issues.
  • Organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Quick learner, adaptable to changing workloads, and capable of prioritizing tasks to meet demanding deadlines.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
