Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute successful onsite installations and upgrades of RDS machinery while complying with installation, commissioning, quality, and local EHS standards.
  • Work in close collaboration with the local project team and installation manager to ensure precise scheduling and delivery of projects that meet client expectations.
  • Address onsite escalations in partnership with the project and installation manager to uphold project timelines.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues during installations, coordinating with the plant for additional parts and adjusting solutions as necessary.
  • Monitor hours and expenses during installations, providing reports to the installation manager.
  • Complete all necessary ISO documentation and submit it to the installation manager.
  • Be prepared to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, as needed to achieve timely project completion.
  • Aim to exceed customer satisfaction and inspire the onsite team.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Level 4 qualification in electro/mechanical engineering or equivalent experience (BSth edition required).
  • Proven experience in an installation/service capacity, preferably within healthcare/pharmacy automation.
  • Familiarity with electromechanical assemblies, mechanical tolerances, and machine construction methodologies (DIN).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to perform under pressure in a client-facing role.
  • Capability to interpret and work from intricate mechanical and electrical schematics, including ACAD 2D/3D and EPLAN.
  • Experience with configuring inverters, motors/servo drives, HMI, Digital IOs, and a solid understanding of IT networking structures.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience, ideally with S7, Beckhoff TC2/3, and Schneider SoMachine; VB Scripting knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience in the installation and commissioning of complex downstream transport systems.
  • Excellent communication skills in English are essential; proficiency in additional languages, particularly German, is advantageous.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with hospital project teams and external contractors.
