About the Opportunity

Khoury College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Manager to join our growing Finance team. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all staff members. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a significant system migration from SAGE Payroll to Workday in 2024, shaping the future of payroll operations within the institution.

The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record of process improvement and development, coupled with strong managerial skills and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of payroll processing, including timekeeping, tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and paycheck distribution.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Manage the implementation and ongoing support of the Workday Payroll system.
  • Develop and maintain payroll policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on payroll-related matters.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to resolve payroll issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing payroll for a large organization.
  • Proficiency in Workday Payroll or similar HRIS systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Membership in the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Institute is preferred.
