Reports to Director of Private Equity Fund Services
Aztec Group is seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead the delivery and proactive development of the Private Equity fund services customer proposition. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Jersey Private Equity leadership team, working together to achieve strategic and financial success.
The Associate Director will be responsible for managing a key client relationship through effective leadership of a large team, delivering a superior standard of service in the marketplace. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing, directing, and monitoring the implementation of strategic business plans and recommendations to enhance financial performance and new business opportunities for the team and the wider business.
- Working closely with the Business Development team to develop a network of meaningful contacts, including prospects and influencers, to grow Aztec's Private Equity fund services business.
- Working closely with support teams to ensure systems and operations are developed to support the Private Equity fund services strategy, enabling tactical and strategic change initiatives.
- Maintaining and building client relationships and acting as a higher authority client contact on day-to-day queries and in the event of any issues within the client teams.
- Acting as an A-level authorised signatory on service delivery, ensuring company policy and professional and regulatory guidelines are adhered to.
- Taking full ownership of the economics and performance of the team(s), ensuring that resource allocation, succession planning, and business performance are aligned to achieve commercially viable results.
- Participating in client fee quotes, negotiations, and regular reviews of existing client relationships to ensure client satisfaction and proactively identifying and securing new service opportunities.
- Delivering through the team managers to ensure that the requirements for a team/number of teams are met, with oversight on planning, scheduling, and monitoring of workloads.
- Attending client board meetings and presenting periodic financial and service level information.
- Providing directorship services to client boards.
- Leading and/or participating in new client proposals and pitches as necessary, and managing the integration of new clients into the Group's procedures.
- Leading or assisting in the on-going development of systems and procedures to ensure the efficient, effective, and controlled delivery of client services.
- Ensuring appropriate information and best practice is shared between designated client services teams.
- As part of the Group leadership team, contributing towards the business as a whole, identifying improvements in policies and procedures that apply across the business.
- Actively managing the performance management and development of all direct reports, as well as providing oversight in an operational lead capacity to non-direct reports.
The ideal candidate will have significant accounting experience, be ACCA, ACA, or ICAEW qualified, and possess excellent interpersonal skills to develop close working relationships with colleagues, clients, and business contacts. They will also have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, collaborative nature, and ability to work independently, with solution-orientated critical thinking and the ability to make and implement crucial recommendations.
