Nursery Teacher Job Description

KiddyKare Ltd is seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Teacher to join our team in Abingdon. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching to children aged 2-4 years, preparing them for school and ensuring their smooth transition to formal education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and structured teaching activities, aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Evaluate children's progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and develop targeted support plans to meet their individual needs.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and Vulnerable Children Coordinator to ensure the needs of children with special educational needs are met.
  • Contribute to the development of the nursery's education and care policies, ensuring they are aligned with the company's values and goals.
  • Support the development of children's independent skills, phonics, reading, maths, and early learning goals.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Early Years Teaching or a related field.
  • A caring and patient nature, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to continuously improve practice.
