Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital facilities, maintaining a safe and efficient environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:
- Responding promptly to maintenance requests from wards, departments, and staff members, ensuring all work is carried out efficiently and within agreed timeframes.
- Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building services, equipment, and plant systems to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnosing and resolving a variety of technical issues, utilizing your expertise in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other relevant disciplines.
- Collaborating with contractors and suppliers to procure materials and services as needed, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to quality standards.
- Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and spare parts inventory.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality service. You will be a team player with a proactive approach and a dedication to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Essential Requirements:
- A recognized advanced craft certified qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3) in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Relevant credited technical qualifications.
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance role, demonstrating competence in various technical aspects.
- A strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations within a healthcare setting.
