Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Maternity Cover Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team on a maternity cover basis. As a HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality education to our students. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the class teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities to individual pupils, small groups, and classes as required. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining successful relationships with pupils, treating them consistently, with respect and consideration, and being concerned for their development as learners.
You will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the safety and well-being of our students. You will also be responsible for supporting the class teacher in delivering phonics at all levels and supporting children with early reading and maths. If you have experience of working in a school setting, teaching individuals, small groups, and whole classes, and are educated to QTS or HLTA status, we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for a candidate who is able to work independently and as part of a team, build successful working relationships, and be adaptable. You will also need to be empathetic with those facing barriers to their learning. In return for your skills and experience, we offer a supportive and friendly environment to develop and thrive.
