Position Title: Sports Coach
Hours: 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 3 PM to 5 PM.
Compensation: £12.50 per hour
Reporting To: Project Coordinator
Role Overview:
The North Kelvin Extra Time initiative is a structured afterschool multi-sport program aimed at promoting regular physical activity and healthy lifestyle education among primary school children. This program operates daily, providing two hours of afterschool care, and the Sports Coach will be required to facilitate all sessions throughout the week.
The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing the NK Extra Time curriculum at one of our designated school locations. While the position is fixed at 10 hours per week, there may be opportunities to extend hours through additional projects managed by North Kelvin Sports Development Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality sports programming at the designated site in the north-west of Glasgow.
- Implement the NKET curriculum effectively at each location.
- Foster strong relationships with all stakeholders, including partners and participants.
- Maintain regular communication with the coordinator, ensuring all attendance and program data is accurately recorded and securely stored.
- Adhere to and promote the club's ethos and philosophy.
- Encourage the enhancement of physical activity and advocate for positive lifestyle choices.
- Uphold and promote ethical standards, child protection policies, fair play, and equal opportunities for all members.
- Provide monthly reports to the Project Coordinator.
- Assist with any relevant club activities as directed by the management committee.
Essential Skills:

- Effective communication skills with children, young people, schools, and fellow coaches.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant coaching or sports-related qualifications.
- PVG Certification.
