Dermatology Consultant Position

This is a unique opportunity to work within Dermatology based in the Treatment Centre at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The job plan will involve a mixture of programmed activities (PA's) for a Locum Consultant Dermatologist (Pro rata for part time) including outpatient clinics and skin surgery.
About the RoleWe are looking for a dedicated, patient-focused Locum Consultant Dermatologist who is committed to providing the highest standards of care for our patients. You will work closely with all members of the medical team, including contributing to the development of a highly skilled workforce and being an active member of the local and regional Dermatology MDT.
About the DepartmentThe Dermatology service undertakes consultant-led outpatient and diagnostic services, treatments, and surgical intervention. There is a dedicated adult outpatient unit. Specialist nurses provide nurse-led chronic disease management, skin cancer, light therapy, photodynamic therapy, biopsy, triamcinolone, and holistic needs clinics.
- Clinic and theatre numbers would be in keeping with the British Association of Dermatologist's guidelines.
- The successful consultant will be expected to comply with all relevant policies relating to administration of patient care.
There are three skin surgery operating theatres, a recovery suite, and an adjacent histopathology lab to support Mohs surgery. The more major and extensive dermatological surgery and laser treatments are carried out in this area.
