We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team at AirTree Ventures Pty, responsible for leading the end-to-end payroll process for multiple countries, ensuring employees are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and process payroll for multiple countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
- Apply payroll laws, regulations, and tax requirements globally, ensuring our payroll processes are compliant.
- Drive continuous improvement within the payroll team and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, data integrity, and accuracy.
- Provide analytical skills by catching and escalating complex payroll issues and ensuring excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate and implement payroll-related changes, policies, and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Global Payroll Management Institute (GPMI) designation is a plus.
- Payroll processing experience in the UK, Austria, or the Czech Republic. US Payroll experience is a plus.
- Generalist understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor legislation globally.
- Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in payroll calculations and data entry.
- Proficiency in using payroll software and systems such as ADP, Workday, or similar platforms, and proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience in macros is a plus.
- Experience in managing the implementation of new payroll, whether that be a new country or an acquisition.
- Participation in a payroll transformation project.
- Exceptional communication skills, able to work cross-functionally, solve problems creatively, and implement solutions.
Our Payroll team is part of the Finance and Legal Group, predominantly based in Australia, with growing teams in the Philippines, EMEA, and the United States. We manage payroll for our ever-growing community of employees worldwide.
