Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our Paediatric Intensive Care team at Kings College Hospital. As a Paediatric Intensive Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill children and their families.
Main Responsibilities:- Delivering High-Quality Patient Care: Provide evidence-based care to patients, ensuring good standards of care are maintained at all times.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery, involving and supporting patients, relatives, carers, and friends in the care process.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest nursing and medical knowledge, and contribute to the development of nursing practice within the team.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Act as a practice supervisor and/or preceptor/mentor for junior and newly qualified staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and development.
- Registration and Experience: Registered Nurse (RN1) with active NMC registration and acute paediatric experience.
- Skills and Competencies: Ability to manage a deteriorating patient, manage patients' emotional needs, and demonstrate empathy and caring.
