About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our Funeralcare team as a Funeral & Memorial Consultant. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional end-of-life care and support to our clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Support: Provide guidance and support to clients as they navigate the process of arranging a funeral or memorial service, ensuring that their individual needs and wishes are met.
  • Funeral Arrangements: Coordinate and deliver funeral arrangements, memorialisation orders, and aftercare services with precision and attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect meets our high standards.
  • Compliance and Quality: Maintain compliance with company policies, statutory legislation, internal KPIs, Funeral Director Code, and FCA regulation, providing assurance to our clients and stakeholders.
  • Deceased Care: Ensure the correct care of the deceased, including conducting daily checks and facilitating Reflection Room visits for families.
  • Community Engagement: Participate in community engagement initiatives, promoting the End-of-Life Services / Southern Co-op brand and building relationships with local communities.
Requirements
  • IT Literacy: Proficient in using MS Office and other relevant software.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Organisation and Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of the role.
  • Resilience and Adaptability: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of resilience and adaptability.
  • Empathy and Compassion: High level of understanding, empathy, and compassion, with the ability to provide sensitive and supportive care to clients and their families.
