About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Kier Group. As a key member of our engineering consultancy division, you will play a crucial role in delivering mechanical projects within the water sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement hydraulic calculations and pump selection for pumping systems.
  • Design and develop pumping systems, including pipework and valving arrangements.
  • Produce equipment specifications and datasheets from process requirement specifications and P&IDs.
  • Review and input to P&IDs.
  • Participate in HAZOP meetings.
Requirements
  • Chartered membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g., CEng MICE).
  • Several years of postgraduate experience.
  • Experience working on pumping stations within the water sector.
