Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Children Social Worker to join our Court Team at Wrexham Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of up to 6 sets of Care Proceedings, ensuring the best outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of complex care proceedings, working closely with colleagues and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop effective plans to support children and families in need.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals, including lawyers, police, and healthcare professionals, to ensure a coordinated approach to case management.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues and managers on complex social work issues.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve the quality of social work practice.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Post-qualifying experience in a social work role, preferably in a court team setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, managers, and external agencies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to contribute to the improvement of social work practice.
