About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and patient tutor to provide one-to-one support to young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As a tutor with Teaching Personnel, you will work with students who require additional support to access education and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one tuition to students with SEMH needs, focusing on their individual learning goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement tailored lesson plans to meet the needs of each student, incorporating English, Maths, and Life Skills.
  • Work with students to build their confidence, self-esteem, and motivation, promoting a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the Teaching Personnel team to ensure seamless support and communication with students, parents, and schools.
  • Conduct regular progress reviews and assessments to monitor student progress and adjust tuition plans as needed.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience: Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs, preferably in a one-to-one setting.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students with SEMH needs.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate student schedules.
