Project Accountant

LevertonHELM is a leading manufacturer of inorganic Lithium chemicals, serving the global market. We are expanding rapidly due to the growth of the Lithium-ion battery sector and are seeking a skilled Project Accountant to join our team.
Job Purpose:As a Project Accountant, you will report directly to Senior Management and be responsible for gathering financial and operational data for the business. You will provide assessments and analysis of the data, focusing on preparing business cases for major capital expenditure, project budgeting and forecasting, and financial analysis of strategic projects and financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities:- Support projects in different stages, including project schedule and budget control.
- Prepare Project Economics, including financial models, valuations, risk-sensitivity analysis, and developing possible scenarios.
- Lead project budget and forecast processes within the Business Unit.
- Assist project teams with financial guidance.
- Develop dashboards, visualizations, and analytical solutions.
- Support the business unit in economic questions, business management, and decision-taking.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operational Planning, and Global Engineering teams.
- Degree in business administration and/or CIMA part-qualified.
- Previous practical experience in operations and project controlling, including the development of KPIs to measure performance and drive excellence.
- Understanding of the chemical industry or manufacturing plants is advantageous.
- Strong affinity for finance and ability to work with external stakeholders.
- Previous experience of using SAP is essential for this role.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office products.
- Strong presenting, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Commercially aware and able to find the correct information/data.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
- Excellent documentation and data mapping skills.
