Aviation Maintenance Manager

JMC Aviation is seeking a highly skilled Check Manager to join their team in Manchester, UK.
About the Role:
The Check Manager will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of maintenance inputs, ensuring regulatory compliance and overseeing maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver allocated maintenance inputs to schedule
- Manage and deliver allocated projects and company initiatives
- Assist the Base Maintenance Management Team as required
- Line manage staff within their area of responsibility
- Issue certificates of release to service for specific aircraft types
- Allocate tasks and responsibilities within their work area
- Maintain a log of progress against tasks
- Provide daily production briefings
- Update senior management as required
- Develop solutions to deliver maintenance within budget constraints
- Ensure daily progress reports are issued for aircraft under maintenance
- Be accountable for the technical integrity of work carried out under their control
- Be accountable for the conduct and time keeping of allocated staff
- Maintain allocated work areas to the highest standards of cleanliness
- Ensure husbandry and tool audit requirements are carried out and recorded
- Carry out formal appraisals of hangar floor staff
- Be responsible for continued H&S 'duty of care' of their team
- Carry out DQS self-audits in line with base maintenance procedures
- Allocate audits to staff and co-ordinate responses
- Assist with quality audits and support robust closure plans
- Assist the Head of Base Maintenance with budget creation and management
Requirements:
- Category B license with C certification by aircraft type
- Hold a B777 and/or A320 type rating and C-cert
- Wide body experience
- Extensive base maintenance experience as a B1 and/or B2 Certifying Engineer
- Working knowledge of Part 145 aviation legislation
- Right to live and work in the UK
