Insurance Administrator

Connells Group is seeking a skilled Insurance Administrator to join their Rent & Legal Insurance team in Leighton Buzzard. As an Insurance Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing rental insurance claims on behalf of our Landlords using the Connells Group Lettings service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with third-party insurers and solicitors to initiate and manage ongoing claims.
  • Communicate claims updates to customers and collaborate with them to reach informed decisions on necessary course of action.
  • Handle incoming queries via phone and email from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Load and check new policies, ensuring premium charges are raised correctly.
  • Ensure all claim payments are correctly identified and allocated to the customer.
  • Prepare fortnightly policy listings.
  • Maximise the collection of unpaid rent arrears and policy premiums through communication with debtors via telephone, email, and SMS.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as required by line manager.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with confidence to deal with challenging queries via telephone calls and email.
  • Strong systems experience, with a good working knowledge of Excel.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Good analytical ability.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines.
  • Flexible approach to working.
  • Background in working with insurance and/or customer service is an advantage, but not necessary. Training will be provided on the job.
