Job Title: Planning and Policy Officer

The Education Workforce Council (EWC) is the independent, professional regulator for the education workforce in Wales.

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy and Planning Officer to join our team, responsible for leading the EWC's policy, planning, and compliance work. The successful candidate will maintain an up-to-date knowledge of key developments within the education sector, undertake research, collate information, and assist in developing and drafting papers and policy documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain administrative processes and procedures
  2. Organize and facilitate meetings and events
  3. Collate diverse information and data to inform policy decisions
  4. Assist in preparing and monitoring internal planning processes
  5. Support the development of good practice guides for registrants

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential
