Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Principal Data/GIS Consultant to join our Ecology GIS team in Birmingham or Manchester. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside one of our Directors of Ecology, leading on digital innovations and transformation, and drive change across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow, manage, and support the ecology GIS team to ensure support for the wider ecology team in delivery of master planning inputs, ecological appraisals, ornithological surveys, and studies.
  • Project manage a wide and varied workload, supervising internal staff and having technical oversight and sign-off on project output.
  • Work with our existing Senior Ecology Team to drive digital innovations and transformation across the division.
  • Develop and implement digital solutions to improve efficiency within internal processes and communication of data between ESRI and Microsoft products.

Requirements

  • Previous experience leading a team of GIS consultants within an ecological consultancy.
  • First-hand experience leading digital innovations within the GIS team and across the wider ecology team.
  • Ability to drive digital transformation, leveraging digital data capture to improve efficiency and speed of delivery.
