We are seeking an Electrical Design and Estimation Specialist to join our building services team at our London office.

As an Electrical Design and Estimation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and developing cost estimates for major Building Services tenders, ensuring technical and commercial accuracy in line with company procedures and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work independently or with a Senior Estimator to prepare financial elements of tenders within specified timescales.
  • Establish prime costs of works for projects during the tender period.
  • Provide financial input for programme, value engineering, temporary works, and other associated issues, compiling estimates to ensure tenders are accurate.
  • Ensure compliance with company business authorisation levels and controls, including quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Compile bid project reports to meet company requirements and standards, including tender bid analysis.
  • Liaise with clients, as lead in some cases, to ensure customer satisfaction during bid project, financial close, and mobilisation phases.
  • Demonstrate experience in estimating medium to large Building Services projects in private and public sectors, with a focus on Electrical Building Services.
  • Hold qualifications in a construction-related subject.
  • Understand environmental impacts, legislation developments, and transfer of environmental risk to contractors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with digital estimating take-off systems is advantageous.
