About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team at AIG. As a key member of our Finance team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a healthy balance sheet and delivering significant finance support for the overall enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee USD $8bn of GWP across 11 geographical clusters and 27 individual countries, representing the largest region outside of the U.S.
  • Work with onshore and 3rd party collection partners across the UK and EMEA region to deliver accurate and timely month end financial reporting.
  • Deliver collections financial reports in line with monthly and quarterly cycles, adhering to SOX and audit control frameworks within the collections function.
  • Take technical ownership of AIG's live ledger reporting (internal consolidation tool of different country subledgers).
  • Participate in meetings across a broad spectrum of stakeholders, business partners, and third parties, building strong relationships with technical support and financial teams.
  • Learn to regression test AIG system upgrades for collections and perform user acceptance testing, providing high-quality feedback to prioritize further remediation.
  • Assist with identifying opportunities for additional standardization within collections.
  • Provide ad-hoc support across a broad range of collections initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience in a technical finance role within a Financial Services organization.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to think outside the box and solve complex problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Comfortable handling large data volumes and strong skills in traditional office software applications.
  • Skilled in Excel, with familiarity with basic macros and VBA functionality advantageous.
