Job Title: Charity Co-ordinator

The Prax Foundation is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to take on the role of Charity Co-ordinator. This is a part-time position that requires a strong passion for charitable causes and a willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of existing projects, including hostels, collection boxes, food banks, and clothes collections.
  • Fundraising through auctions, events, and other initiatives.
  • Identifying new causes for the Foundation to support.
  • Collaboration with the Foundation Steering Committee.
  • Liaison with stakeholders, including donors and auditors.
  • Monthly meetings and presentations to the PFS board.
  • Development of the School Breakfast Scheme.
  • Quarterly workshops to raise the Roots profile.
  • Engagement with Food banks.
  • Donations to appeals.
  • Management of banking and payments on Roots bank accounts.
  • Responsibility for the budget for Roots.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in the charity sector.
  • Outstanding organizational, administration, and social media skills.
  • Experience with planning and budgets.
About the Prax Foundation:

The Prax Foundation, Roots, was established in 2010 by the founders of the Prax Group. The charity is run on a zero-cost basis, with every dollar donated going directly to Roots. The Foundation is overseen by the Carmelite Sisters and is responsible for the welfare of 80 girls at two hostels in Sri Lanka.

The Prax Group organizes several fundraising events throughout the year, including auctions and events. The charity also has donation boxes in all Harvest Energy filling stations in the United Kingdom. The Prax Group's teams around the world come together to wrap gifts for the girls in Sri Lanka every Christmas.
