Drama Teacher Vacancy

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Drama Teacher to join our successful and well-resourced department at an all-boys comprehensive school in Havering, London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Drama to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, and will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the department's curriculum and extracurricular activities.

We are looking for a team player who is committed to inspiring and motivating students, and who is enthusiastic and optimistic about the potential of each student to succeed.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Drama and a PGCE or QTS qualification, and will have experience of teaching Drama to students in a secondary school setting.

The salary for this position will be paid to scale on a permanent contract, and the school offers excellent support and CPD for staff at all stages of their career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Drama to students in Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Contribute to the development of the department's curriculum and extracurricular activities
  • Assess and report on student progress
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental policies

Requirements:

  • Degree in Drama
  • PGCE or QTS qualification
  • Experience of teaching Drama to students in a secondary school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
