Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Veterinary Nurse to join our team at GLG Vets in Newport, Gwent. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the health and well-being of animals in the community.

You will work in a part-time schedule, and the salary for this position ranges between Up to £29,000 DOE Pro Rata.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality veterinary care to animals, diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions.
  • Perform surgeries, administer vaccinations, and offer general healthcare advice to pet owners.
  • Lead a team of veterinary professionals (if applicable to leadership roles).
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with veterinary regulations.
  • Collaborate with fellow vets and support staff to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Veterinary degree and registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
  • Experience in small animal practice preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload.
  • Commitment to providing excellent client service and animal care.
