Job Description

Premea is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Manufacturing Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes that meet quality targets and capital investment goals.
  • Body Assembly and Robotics: Utilize expertise in automotive vehicle body assembly process development, joining technologies, and body assembly equipment to drive process improvements.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Apply knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles to maximize equipment usage, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Project Management: Lead projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Technical Decision-Making: Analyze financial information and make informed technical decisions to drive business growth.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve complex technical solutions and commissioning issues.
  • Facility Performance: Drive facility performance by implementing 9-Panel process and 5F process to ensure adherence to design cycle time and simulated targets for MTTR and MTBF.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure projects are delivered in line with safety scorecards and Health and Safety at Work Act compliance.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing engineering, with a focus on process development, body assembly, and robotics.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, project management, and technical decision-making.
