Position Overview

As a Coffee Production Support Specialist, you will collaborate closely with a dedicated team of coffee experts. Your primary responsibility will involve assisting the production roasters in the daily operations of our roasting equipment. This includes loading and unloading coffee, maintaining the green coffee area, and ensuring the cleanliness of the equipment.

This role presents an excellent opportunity to enter the specialty coffee industry, with potential for further training in coffee roasting and exposure to various aspects of the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load green coffee sacks into the roasters according to the roasting schedule.
  • Organize stock of roasted coffee products.
  • Maintain the air filtration system and coffee roasting equipment.
  • Oversee the organization of the green coffee area and manage pallet consolidation.
  • Receive deliveries of green coffee.
  • Prepare the roasters for daily operations.
  • Conduct weekly inventory counts of green coffee stock.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking individuals with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a team. Organizational skills and the capacity to handle physical tasks are essential.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Ability to adhere to procedures.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Physically fit, capable of lifting heavy loads.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic work environment.
  • Basic proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forklift certification.
  • Experience in a BRCGS certified environment.
