Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Hygienist to join our team at NHS Jobs. As a Band 7 Staff Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide treatment to patients following a prescribed course of treatment as directed by a registered dentist.
  • Perform a range of duties, including but not limited to:
    • Conducting thorough oral examinations to assess patients' dental health.
    • Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans to meet patients' needs.
    • Providing education and guidance to patients on oral health and hygiene practices.
    • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in dental care.
Requirements
  • Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) as a Dental Hygienist.
  • Experience working in a dental setting, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
