Academics Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language needs, sensory processing disorders, physical disabilities, cognitive impairments, and communication difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:- Work with students to identify triggers and barriers to learning, and implement strategies to overcome these challenges.
- Apply knowledge of psychological theory to support students in the classroom, including small groups and one-to-one settings.
- Help create a safe and supportive learning environment, ensuring every student feels valued and included.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to students, helping them to build confidence and self-esteem.
- Relevant degree in Psychology or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff.
- Knowledge of psychological theory and its application in educational settings.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
