Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Services Representative to join our team at Alterna Savings. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and sales support to our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to Sales Growth: Meet and exceed sales targets by delivering high-quality products and services to our members.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with our members, understanding their financial needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with our product offerings and features, and effectively communicate these to our members.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with members, colleagues, and management.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial situations and provide effective solutions.
  • Team Player: Work collaboratively as part of a high-performing team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary education combined with 3 years of related experience in a financial institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Proven track record in sales, with a strong understanding of financial products and services.
  • Certifications: As part of continuing education, enrolled in Financial Planning or other similar type programs.
  • Skills: Sound knowledge of various computer applications, such as Excel and Word, and strong negotiation skills to deal with member solutions and sales.
