Audit Director

We are seeking an experienced Audit Director to provide high-level oversight of our audit function. As a seasoned auditor, you will be responsible for leading audits, reviewing files, and identifying new audit guidance and processes.
About the Role- Provide high-level oversight of a busy audit function, ensuring effective communication on all aspects of audit compliance.
- Review hot and cold audit and assurance files, identifying areas for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with evolving auditing standards, emerging trends, and relevant issues, and implement recommendations.
- Manage relationships with external audit reviewers and lead liaison with the ICAEW on audit compliance matters.
- Monitor audit training needs and champion professional development and compliance knowledge.
- Plan and perform on-site audit due diligence visits and follow up on post-completion file reviews.

- A proven track record operating at Audit RI or Audit Senior Manager level within an ICAEW or ACCA registered firm.

- Sound attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and self-motivation.
- A team player able to bring out the best in others, with constructive mentorship of junior team members.
