Job Title: Pre-Construction Supervisor - Power Utilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Supervisor to join our Power Utilities division in Potters Bar. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and designing cable routes, customer connections, and managing feasibility studies/reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and assist in feasibility studies and surveys, ensuring effective deployment of resources to deliver works incident-free, in compliance with company policy and procedures, to programme and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain client and supply chain partner relationships, identifying cost-effective innovations to the business.
  • Active involvement in supporting the pre-construction department and the tendering/estimation process, providing operational and technical support in the compilation of bids and feasibility studies.

General Duties:

  • Assist in feasibility studies surveys/reports.
  • Support the pre-construction/bid team at the tender stage, providing route surveys, paving schedules, and tender programmes.
  • Ensure all health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements pertaining to the project are in place and monitored.
  • Promote and implement SQE policies and procedures.
  • Prepare Job Packs from site surveys for preparation of private wayleaves documents.
  • Cable pack design - Straight Line Diagrams, Public Infrastructure Access Documentation.
  • Support Scope of Works Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • Prepare, update, and input information to MS Project Reports.
  • Liaise with Highways Authorities, Clients, and their clients, Utilities Representatives, and internal colleagues.
  • Comply with all company Policies & Procedures.

Requirements:

  • NRSWA desirable.
  • CITB or equivalent in site safety management (SSSTS) desirable.
  • CSCS Card for the appropriate level of responsibility/competency.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in utilities.
  • Full UK Driving License, HSG47 awareness.
  • Competent in the use of MS Word, Excel, and Office Outlook.
