Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting structural surveys of buildings, preparing digital reports, and providing technical support for buildings insurance claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct structural surveys of buildings and prepare digital reports
  • Provide technical support for buildings insurance claims, including subsidence, fire, and storm damage
  • Prepare specifications for remedial works
  • Report to the Managing Director and provide progress reports
  • Develop new ideas to help shape the future of the business

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering
  • Extensive experience in structural surveys of buildings
  • General understanding of building structures and materials, including steel, masonry, concrete, and timber
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCad
  • Chartership - MICE or MIStructE
  • SER Registered
  • Excellent work ethic and willingness to go above and beyond to support company growth
  • Passionate about new technologies, progressive change, and continuous improvement
  • Car owner and UK driving license, able to travel to site
