Role Overview:

We are seeking a Science Instructor - Biology Focus to become a vital part of our Sixth Form team. In this role, you will significantly contribute to the academic achievements of our students by:

  • Delivering a structured teaching commitment aimed at enhancing students' knowledge, skills, and comprehension.
  • Inspiring and engaging students, nurturing their curiosity and passion for learning.
  • Designing, preparing, and conducting high-quality educational sessions.
  • Offering timely evaluations and constructive feedback to facilitate student progress.
  • Aiding in the attainment of retention and success objectives for the courses you teach.

Candidate Profile:

  • Relevant degree in a scientific discipline
  • Teaching certification or equivalent qualifications as per statutory requirements
  • Proficiency in English and Mathematics or equivalent at GCSE grade A-C
  • Current experience in teaching A-Level Biology
  • Background in teaching within a Sixth Form or Further Education College environment for students aged 16 – 18
  • Familiarity with using Information Learning Technology (ILT) to enhance educational delivery
  • Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
