We are seeking individuals who aspire to make a significant impact and wish to join our vibrant team in the UK office. Under the guidance of our Directors and in collaboration with our Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineering teams, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing and resolving client issues across mechanical, electrical, or software domains.
  • Delivering prompt and precise service both in-house and at client facilities, including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and equipment repair.
  • Executing the installation and removal of Original Equipment Manufacturer machinery and conveyor systems, along with any custom components at the workshop or on-site.
  • Working independently and unsupervised on a regular basis.
  • Engaging in creative learning related to Software applications in Robotics and PLC systems.
  • Developing software and programs to ensure the effective installation, maintenance, commissioning, and servicing of specialized line control and handling equipment.


Additional responsibilities include:

  • Managing projects from inception to completion as required.
  • Assisting fellow engineers in the assembly processes within the workshop and on-site.
  • Utilizing company resources effectively, ensuring proper maintenance of equipment, tools, supplies, and energy.
  • Conducting installations across the UK and Ireland, with occasional projects in Europe.
  • Willingness to travel 60% of the time (domestic and international) to various client sites.


Qualifications:

  • Higher National Diploma or degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical Control Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or Robotics & Automation Engineering.
  • Experience in PLC programming, particularly with Siemens Simatic Step 7 and TIA (knowledge of Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000 is advantageous).
  • Familiarity with HMI programming using Siemens or Allen Bradley systems.
  • Commissioning experience in FMCG production lines.
  • Knowledge of SCADA programming (Siemens WinCC or Allen Bradley FTView) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Flexisoft design software (Sick) or PNOZ configuration software (Pilz) is beneficial.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other Windows applications.
  • Project management skills to oversee our European installation teams during larger projects.
