About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) in schools across Gloucestershire. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to students, helping them to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with a range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD, MLD, and challenging behavior
  • Provide personal care assistance on rare occasions
  • Manage challenging behavior and develop strategies to support students
  • Record students' progress and provide feedback to teachers
  • Work one-to-one with students to support their learning and development

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEN, particularly Autism
  • Good knowledge of SEN and its impact on students
  • Ability to manage challenging behavior and develop strategies to support students
  • Clear and valid Enhanced DBS
