Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compressor Engineer to join our team at Verto People. As a Compressor Engineer, you will be responsible for providing electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance of compressed air equipment at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance of compressed air equipment at customer sites.
  • Undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, and fault finding of compressed air systems, vacuum pumps, blowers, dryers, nitrogen generators, and other compressed air and downstream products.
  • Maintain, repair, and install air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers, dryers, nitrogen generators, and other compressed air and pneumatic equipment.
  • Install compressed air/water & nitrogen pipelines into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
  • Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.
Requirements
  • Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical/mechanical engineering systems, ideally compressed air-related products.
  • Experience as a Field Service Engineer/Service Engineer/Service Technician/Installation Engineer/Compressor Engineer/Mechanical Engineer/M&E Engineer or similar with compressed air experience.
  • Good working knowledge of three-phase electrics and controls is advantageous.
  • Service experience in the compressed air industry or strong electromechanical experience in refrigeration with FGas certification, air filtration, nitrogen generators, pipework, vacuum pumps, vacuum systems, or similar associated compressor products.
  • A technical engineering degree or apprentice-trained would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel and cover the Midlands and parts of the North UK.
