Job Title: Intermediate and Senior Electrical Design Engineers

About the Role:

We are seeking experienced Electrical Design Engineers to join our client's team in Northampton. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive electrical designs, covering schematics, LV distribution, lighting, small power & data, fire alarm, and security layouts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement electrical designs that meet the client's requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure all project milestones are met.
  • Perform calculations and ensure compliance with British Standards.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce expenses and non-billable costs.
  • Communicate design solutions to internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Deliver presentations to external organizations, clients, and peer groups.
  • Manage tasks to ensure deadlines are consistently met.
  • Assist lead engineers in gathering and distributing project information to the project team.
  • Utilize software tools like AutoCAD, Trimble, Relux, Microsoft Office, and Revit.
  • Ensure all designs are compliant with employer requirements, British Standards, and relevant regulations.

Requirements:

  • A Building Services Engineering HNC, or an equivalent degree in a related field.
  • Experience with CAD software.
  • Proficiency in electrical engineering design principles.
